DEAR FRIENDS,

We at Butterfly Equipment know how frustrating it can be to not be able to go where you want when you want, or do what you want when you want to do it.

We are people with disabilities too, and we care about your life.

The good news is that disability need not be limiting. With the right equipment or home modifications, you can enjoy your life.

OUR PRODUCTS & SERVICES

Butterfly offers two services: A free equipment loan program (ELP) and
an Equipment Thrift Shop that carries a variety of new and pre-owned equipment.

Butterfly's ELP lends out various equipment for a 30-day period that can be renewed for another 30 days. There is no charge for the equipment; but a security deposit is required.

Butterfly's Thrift Shop has a variety of used equipment available at great prices. Some of our used products include manual wheelchairs, shower benches, walkers, Hoyer lifts and reachers. These pre-owned products have been recycled by Butterfly and they are an exceptional value.

OUR MISSION

Butterfly Equipment is a for-profit fundraising venture of the Center for Disability Rights (CDR). Butterfly Equipment is supported by donations from CDR’s membership. All profits of Butterfly Equipment go to support the CDR’s mission to promote options that empower people with disabilities to achieve their full potential and live independently, fully participate in their community, and exercise their rights as citizens. CDR is a consumer-controlled, community-based membership organization of persons with disabilities that operates a Center for Independent Living.
